Engineers Develop Bullet-proof Vests From Cement
Engineers at the University of Leeds are using cement to develop a cheap bullet-proof vest. Students at the university's School of Civil Engineering will create the new vests by combining super-strong cement with recycled carbon fibre to make a material tough enough to withstand most types of bullets.
